This is a free download and works with Microsoft Streets & Trips 2011. It will even work with the free 60 day trial version. It will not work with S&T 2010.

How does it work?

Step 1. Download from here. If you know how to extract a zip file then download the smaller Streets2011_POI_MegaFile.Jan.zip version. If you don’t know what a zip file is (no worries) just download the larger Streets2011_POI_MegaFile.Jan.stt version to your desktop.

Step 2. Double-click on the downloaded Streets2011_POI_MegaFile.Jan.stt and S&T will open with the POI Megafile loaded.
Step 3. Plan a trip and save the file with a new name (eg. WinterTrip-SouthernCal.est)

Microsoft Gets Decked out for the Holidays

UPDATE: Streets and Trips hangs at the splash screen

There is a small segment of our users that are seeing this issue.

Here is what I know about it:

It is caused by a Windows issue not a bug in Streets & Trips or MapPoint.
The Windows team expects to release a fix for this in January (or so I’ve heard)
It only affects Windows 7 SP1 users using 64bit machines.
Microsoft Support has posted this information on the issue: When you start Streets and Trips, it hangs at the splash screen
Microsoft Answers: Mappoint 2009 and 2011 installs but hangs on splash screen, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with SP1 Thinkpad X220 Tablet PC, Office 2007

The fix for this issue has been released!

Even Santa uses Streets & Trips

You can imagine how pleased we were to find out that Santa uses Streets & Trips. He came by to pay us a visit to our demo booth in Dallas last weekend.

Just flew in today and got the booth setup at the Dallas Market Hall for the Southwest RV Supershow. Looks like we scored a nice easy to find location right on the end. I expect the booth will be busy.

For those who are able to make it you can check out the details at the SW RV Supershow website. It is open to the public and it looks like there is a coupon that you can print out to get a discount on the entry tickets.
